Kids are seen as culturally bound to the countries they currently reside in with their families. however there are other cultural generations that lie within. TCKs have been as an amalgamation of First & Second Culture Kids. First Culture is defined as individuals who grew up in the culture and country of their parents origin. Second Culture Kids are seen as culturally bound to the countries they currently reside in with their families.

"Owning my truth was a struggle at first....At least because I had that backing from Nigeria, it's like I came in with an immigrant mindset. And an immigrant mindset is more like-okay, I'm not going to carry less in another country, like I'm gonna do really well and give it my best!"

Sade Awele has found herself as the middle child of the three generations of cultural expression as a nomad. Nigerian born singer, Sade Awele embodies a soulful character of love reflected in her engaging smile and persona. She expresses it through her timeless lyrics, and music that ranges from afro-soul and conscious alternative r&b to neosoul and contemporary r&b. She wears duality with grace as a Civil Engineer and timeless lyricist.

"I was looking for people who were for me, not just looking at me as a spectacle. I was used to being this confident person, and for some people it was just overwhelming. They didn't know how to relate with me.."

Sade's eclectic taste allows her to draw inspiration from vast range of genres into her music. This allows her to stay inspired and refreshed, while giving the audience a new and fun experience. Her jazzy voice will put you in a soothing trance with familiar tones, yet her sound is in a category of its own. Her most recent work includes a series of singles, including  “Count on Me”, “Nigerian Born” and “Dreams” available on all music platforms. Each of her singles have a music video on Youtube. There is so much more to come from her unique sound.

Through her music, we see Sade rise to the spiritual calling. Speaking her truth, sharing her truth and educating us about her truth through her soulful sound.
